Step into the enchanting world of Walt, an application that takes communal living to new heights.

The Walt application emerged as my response to the fact that, for two out of three young people, owning a home seems like an unattainable dream. Driven by the desire for alternative solutions, I delved into the world of tiny houses, cohousing, and cooperative living. Ultimately, I chose the theme of cohousing as the inspiration for my creation.

My journey began with surveys, conversations, and in-depth research with the residents of cohousing projects themselves. Here, I discovered the essence of their challenges and pondered, “How can I, as a digital designer, make a difference here?” The answer unfolded as the Walt application, “We are living together.”

Walt, fueled by the essence of diverse cohousing initiatives, transcends the typical app experience. It functions as a central hub where residents’ needs, documentation, and communication seamlessly converge. Yet, there’s more to Walt than meets the eye! The application actively promotes residents supporting each other, fortifying the neighborhood, and forging deeper connections. As an added bonus, users earn appreciation badges for assisting one another, which can be exchanged for discounts on engaging group activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
